Ok, so it's been almost 6 months after my prodecure and like 50 of the transplanted hairs refuse to grow. They are like 1mm long and have not grown any longer since my hair shed 5 months ago. I did, however, have one of these hairs start to grow, then it just fell out once it got to be about 1cm long and now I just have a small bald spot in its place. Anyone know if this is normal, and will this hair ever grow?

You can honestly locate fifty individual hairs on your head and acknowledge their growth rate? Damn, man. You need to take a step back and breathe.

Are you using minoxidil on the recipient area? Even though its kind of late to start that I think it really helped to jumpstart my growth. Go ahead and give that a shot. Also, taking 3,000 mg of MSM a day will speed growth too.

Your signature line says that you have had 3 procedures totalling around 2,700 grafts. How many grafts were transplanted per procedure and who was your physician?

I just counted, there are exactly 103 hair transplant hairs that seem to be dormant, I had this confrimed by the national hair count association of California for obsessed freaks. I may try minoxidil, but I used it back when I was 16 and it caused a host of side effects i.e. dry skin, headaches, etc. I may try that MSM, I have no idea what it is but I'll look into it. Thanks. I had 800 grafts my first procedure, 1,100 my second procedure, and 800 my third procedure. I would rather not say who my Physiciana were unitl I have my final procedure in August. Thanks for the response.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) -- also known as methyl sulfone or dimethylsulfone (DMSO2) -- is an odorless breakdown product of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)

It can help your transplanted hair grow in faster (as well as your naturally-growing hair and nails). Take 3000 mg per day for optimal results.
