It has a very odd M shape, I try to cut it and its only looking worse. I'm going to be going to school with an ushanka on for now. But what can I do to fix this?

The one with the play video button is when I tried to fix it.

Hey John332,
Doesn’t look too bad to me however i can see why it annoys you as its not straight. Mine is the same but i think worse than yours. The way i deal with it is get my barbers to taper it in... lasts a good 2-3 weeks before it starts becoming annoying again... could also try a skin fade - low or high (google it) if youre a bit more daring.
Either way you go, its easily fixed with regular trips to the barbers. Find a good one and they will have many options and styles that would work for you. Its probably alot more common than you think when people let their hair grow out.

This is my hairline. I remember just a few months ago I had a perfect hairline then after I tried to cut my own hair I cut it too short and I noticed the hair on my temples have like disappeared all of a sudden. I can see small hairs, but they don't seem to grow.

I have bad dandruff, I only tend to wash my hair when I feel I need to since every time I do it just gets super dry and looks bad. But I hear dandruff doesn't cause this.

I want to start taking stuff like finasteride now, but I hear it makes you feel tired or something. I rock climb/boulder and that won't be good for me, I don't want to take something that will hinder my physical abilities.

Also I heard about hair transplants, but I hear that it just makes the balding process quicker for the other hairs that aren't transplanted.

I would try and live with it as best you can before resorting to something as drastic as a hair transplant. Theyre expensive and if you want a ‘good’ one done by somebody respected in the field, youre talking about thousands and thousands.
You should first try a different style - head to the barbers and tell them your concerns... thats the first port of call.
If it gets worse and worse then by all means go ahead with the medication... however there is truth to the side effects and you’ll have to weigh up wether they will be a hinderance to your lifestyle or not.
I know its scary, i’m going through something simalar, but i’m absolutely determined to find an alternative to medication or surgery - if that means just living with it then so be it.
