My friend and I think my hair might be coming back a little!

It's very, very early to tell but it seems like just at the receding hairline that I noticed only a few weeks ago it seems like the hair there is now thicker and sprouting a little more! It could be BOTH of our collective imaginations, but she noticed it before I'd even said anything!

I don't know if it's the Ketaconazole (most likely suspect!), the better diet (I suspect the reduction in carbs and sugar is doing my hormonal balance the WORLD of good! :) ), the vitamins and nutrients, the different and better shampoo, the beta-sitosterol, the MSM or the Omega 3 (I haven't even started on Finasteride or Coenzyme A yet!) but something, SOMETHING is making my hairline just edge forwards again!

People might say it's not possible or whatever but like I say she noticed it as well without the tiniest hint from me that I might be suspecting it too!

I don't know what this says for the top of my head (the Ket has been used all over the top, particularly the very crown, the hairline and most of the sides) but coupled with mild finasteride and the rest of it, I am feeling really, really confident about my ability to get this under control and looking healthy again!

Result!

Hoppi :)

I agree. post some pics. It seems just 2 weeks ago you joined saying you were loosing hair and now you are growing it?? Not trying to be critical and don't usually post much here but...I'm just sayin. :dunno:

haha well BOTH changes were very slight! I caught hair loss mega early, and now I believe we caught the slight regrowing of the hairline even earlier! lol

I might be wrong but... it really does look like it! :)

And no I don't really wanna post pics ._. I get self-conscious ._.

(besides, I don't have any before pics, and it's so slight it might not even come up well on a camera! lol)

-- I'll keep you posted about it anyway! :)

That's what I'm saying too. He built his post count up in the beginning with no mention of those vitamins and then BAM!! he went on a mission.

Really hope your right about this, no photos means less reliability. I don't like to think that your regimen may influence other members on here when they see this success story and your not 100% sure.

However, you do seem a reliable member, so I'll take your word.

IF those vitamins work for you - you will NOT see a result in a few weeks, not even in a few months. Hair loss on the temples is either a mature hairline or a male pattern baldness, it can't be anything else and you sure can't reverse a mature hairline or a male pattern baldness with a diet.. Even with finasteride it would take at least 6 months to notice some results and in the beginning your hair would more likely to get worse and not better.

I actually starting to think that Hoppi promotes those vitamins websites, remember - he recommended people to buy vitamins from eBay and even gave a link.. Maybe HE is the eBay seller who sales that crap.

You wanna know if your balding? Go to a derm and asked to get a miniaturization and then get another miniaturization after 3 months and you'll know if you'll balding... Also Nizoral makes your hair look thicker, it has a big cosmetic effect.

I'm with Blink and LivingtheDream about that.

This shouldn't be in Success Stories without pictures to prove.

Also two weeks? He's probably just having a good hair day and thinks its regrowth.

lol I dunno I was just happy! hehe

I just looked at myself in the mirror and the hair (at the hairline) just seemed thicker and like little ones were sprouting further! And I thought I was imagining it, so I just felt a bit happy and then went on with my day! But then my friend exclaimed the same thing when I showed her even when I never mentioned ANYTHING at all to her!

So, who knows, I'm just gonna keep going strong and see what happens!

I'm not trying to sell anything or push anything onto anyone, I'm just speaking my mind and if you guys wanna read something into it that's fine!

My regimen... the only things that aren't on there is erm.. sometimes I use Saw Palmetto and pygeum bark but not often... my current shampoo is just a nutrient-rich, anti-breakage shampoo (herbal essences actually! lol), but soon I will probably switch to one that is all-natural and reduces DHT naturally too, just to back-up my Nizoral.

Other than that my regimen is very up to date and shows everything :)

Like I say I could be wrong, and I am still feeling more hairs coming out than I'm comfortable with, but hair does go in cycles like we say so I'm still just on the bad cycle I would imagine. Hopefully finasteride, nizoral and everything else I'm doing will make the next one stronger!

But yeah I'll keep you guys posted and use this thread to kinda, put any positive changes I notice!

Like I say this thread doesn't necessarily mean much I mean at best the changes were fairly small, but I was just feeling really happy and wanted somewhere to let it all out! :)

Let's see what happens in future anyway!

Hoppi!

hoppi you are the most verbose poster on any forum i've ever seen.

i also love how you now jump in on everyone's "should i start finasteride" threads like you are some kind of expert now.

chill with the smiley's ok?

what's the point of posting a thread asking if your hair is doing better without pics?

Almost no one who has been around hair loss forums, for any substantial period of time, cares about subjective experiences.

A lot of people starting a new treatment (particularly a fringe one), can convince themselves that it's working even if it isn't. It's an intersection of placebo effect, personal pride and the subconscious belief that something bought must have value (particularly if its expensive).

That's why people here are asking for photos.

Stay positive!!!!!!!!!!!!! (positive objective evidence)

If you are getting any kind of results at all, I would say it's the Nizoral shampoo, not the vits. nizoral does make hair thicker, and look much more cosmetically fuller. So chances are all the results you're are seeing is from nizoral.

Also, most members will not take you serious unless you post pics of your results. A few comments from friends and your personal opinion of improvement, in little as two weeks is not going to swing for most people. It will discredit you, more then anything else. The hairloss community is the target of shams and con-artists galore. Years, upon years of this, and well... can you blame any of them for their cynicism?

So I'm not the only one who this guy is driving insane?? :) :) :) :)

I think he's the only one who cant see it. :shakehead:

But this is typical of many newbies next week he'll be posting about how things are looking bad again.
Any idiot knows that you cant record noticible results in a matter of weeks.

Well thing is my friend noticed it too, it wasn't just me. It could be the nutrients, I think it has to be. I just don't think the Ketaconazole and beta-sitosterol and stuff has had time to work!

It just must be all these crazy nutrients I am putting onto my hair and into my body, my hair is also so shiny and smooth, I've never seen it looking this healthy in my life!

It's truly wonderful :)

Now all that remains is controlling that damn DHT!! hehe :)

Well there's no need to put him down because he happens to be happy about his hair, for all we know he truly is seeing regrowth, and for those of you who have doubts, i'm sure there are other ways to go about addressing your concern than putting him down.

Hoppi, it's probably better to post before and after pictures. I was hesitant myself, yet if you cut out your face and just leave in the hair, nobody will know what you look like :) I'd rather get the opinion of guys who have been through it as well. Just a thought though.
