Hi everyone, have been a lurker every so often, and have decided to finally post.

The male side of my family doesn't have the thickest hair, but my father and my brothers do not have any obvious thinning like I do. My father suffers from no receding hairline or baldness in his 50's.

I have suffered from stress for several years, and have taken a lot of medication in the past, so I think this may be a contributing factor.

I am constantly stressed but that seems to be a way of life right now as I have been this way for so long. The past year its gotten worse and I am getting comments from people like my barber, and from friends and family.

I went to the GP a few months ago but she didn't even look at my hair and just laughed it off, saying as long as it wasn't coming out in clumps then its normal/fact of life.

I wash my hair everyday, but I am pretty gentle, I use a shower head and just rinse it with shampoo.

The hairloss seems to be all over, "public" hairs come out easily, and my armpits used to be really hairy, but not anymore.

I think I need to see my GP again but I want them to take my situation seriously otherwise I'm going to have to find help on my own, any ideas?

(I am 26 by the way)

If it's coming out all over your body that should be enough to get your doctor to take you seriously and they should run tests to diagnose you. All over loss is not male pattern baldness and even when I was suspected male pattern baldness I was still given a blood test to rule out other causes.

Yes complain about your GP, if hairs coming out it could be anything and her actions constitute negligence.
