What is Scalpicin?

Maximum Strength Scalpicin® Anti-Itch Liquid "Dermatology Formula"

Developed for the intense itch caused by inflammatory skin conditions from seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis, this topical dermatological formula relieves itching associated with minor skin irritations due to seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis. Unlike shampoos, this medication does not wash away after application. Available in 1.5-ounce applicator bottle.

Ingredients: Contains the active ingredient hydrocortisone (1.0%) to control the intense itching associated with minor skin irritations and rashes due to seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis.

Features: This colorless, odorless, greaseless, concentrated scalp medication helps stop intense itching. Its ease of application allows it to be used anytime of the day, unlike a shampoo, and it will not affect hairstyles. It can be used up to four times daily for up to seven days, as needed, and takes only seconds to apply.

When to Use: Immediately after shampooing or anytime of the day (up to four applications for up to seven days) when intense scalp itch flares up.

The active ingredient in Scalpicin is hydrocortisone alcohol 1%. It is a strong anti-inflammatory, relieving itch and scalp stress on contact. You can find it at any local pharmacy. I got mine at Wal-Mart.

After 2 hours of applying my minoxidil, my scalp itch got so bad. I was shopping and decided to get the Scalpicin Maximum Strength. Upon applying it to my head, I felt so much better. Nearly all the itching had vanished. I applied a liberal amount.

In comparison to copper peptides, I'm going to say that Scalpicin is probably about equal, if not a bit better, at reducing scalp inflammation and itching.

I'm going to use it if the Rogaine itch gets really bad... which it usually does.

Many claim Scalpicin to be an underrated tool in the hairloss figher's regimen.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Good treatment.

Hmmm i wish my copper peptides (prox-n) helped with scalp itch. On the contrary, if you apply to often/too much, it causes irritation probably due to the NANO growth stimulators.

Is it safe to keep using this product? 7 days with a 1 day break in between?

I used hydrocortisone last night and my scalp itch is gone. But I dont think its safe to keep using it.
