Hello, just want to type up my experience with minoxidil in the last 7 months. I also have a few questions.

Kirkland - cheap an cheerful. But leave terrible white flakes!!!!!! OMFG.

I had enough of that so I got sum Dr. Lee's with retinoic acid. Much better stuff and no white flakes. Thing is..DON NOT USE THIS STUFF EVERY DAY!! Like i did....lol....omfg the itch you get on ur head is like nothing I ever felt! I quit minoxidil for about 3 days beacuse of this...on the 3rd day went back to kirkland, but the itch returned with it and it was bad.

I ordered sum dr lee.s the minoxidil without PPG today it has glycerin in it. I put this on tonight and the itch did not come back :D.

My plans are too keep using this 6 days and the retinoic acid one once a week, and stop the kirkland all together. I would not advise anyone buy kirkland if they can afford it, the white sh*t it leaves on your head is not worth it. I mean..I wash my scalp every day with revivogen shampoo and nizoral every two days, and this does not get rid of the sh*t...I was combing a snow storm out of my scalp once a week to keep it under control.

Anyways, questions...

Does glycerin make it any difference to effectiveness?

Is there anyone that use kirkland and does not get a snow storm on their head?

Will the transition to glycerin make a difference?

Cheers, take care all.

billy.

Kirkland is a very decent Generic, maybe you applied too much to the hair or it got in the hair. I think anyone who uses minoxidil should have short/medium hair length. When you add retin-a you add the high possibility of irritation, if anyone has used it on their face they know. Dr Lee makes good stuff, even though I buy Brand name Rogaine many cannot afford the name brand and Kirkland is the next best thing (if you are buying locally) dirt cheap and at least they get minoxidil onto their scalp, if you use nothing you have zero chance at regrowth.
