Hi guys. I'm gonna try to be brief with my story.
I've been balding since 4 years now. I've been 3.5years on finasteride and Minoxidil. Although I got almost no regrowth, I think they have helped me to slow down my hairloss. I'm not sure whether I've maintained or not. The thing is, I wanted to improve my crown, but at this moment it's still horrible. 8 months ago I added microneedling with a dermapen (weekly sessions, 2mm) thinking it could give a boost to my crown, but apparently it didn't do anything. I am starting to consider a transplant.
Below you'll find 2 pics of my shitty crown, they are 6 months apart, one before and one after 6 months of microneedling (with continued use of finasteride and minoxidil). Note that for taking those pics, I used harsh natural light and I styled my hair the worst way possible so my crown bald spot is exposed.
Based upon those pics, I want to make you guys three specific questions:
1) How bad is it?
2) Is there any trend noticeable between the pics? Am I slowly getting worse or getting better?
3) Given the above questions, what else should I do to solve my crown bald spot? Is a crown transplant worth it? Should I go that way, or is a crown transplant very risky because of shock loss (unlike hairline ones)?
