So i had a consultation with a well know hair transplant and cosmetic hair dermatologist in Scottsdale, AZ. He basically told me that proscar is a waste of time and won't work.
He said I need to get on propecia because proscar when cut into 1/4 and taken daily doesn't give you a steady stream, therefore won't give you results. My thoughts are that he just wants to make some money but could this be true even though I've had my levels tested and proscar is lowering my DHT.
Keep in mind that even though my DHT levels have dropped, i have diffuse thinning and it continues to fall out at around the 3 month mark.
He also said that DHT is the only androgen that causes miniturization of hair follicles and that testosterone doesn't affect hair.
Any opinions on this?
