my 1st 2 weeks on finasteride

Hi I started to take finasteride(fincar) from inhouse 2 weeks ago.

1st 8 days all good, last 5 had some ball ache in left ball.
I have had this there before i ever took finasteride but no so often as this. Thats the only side i can say fins given me so far everything else is normal and i still feel like a man for now.

right so i've cut my dose down to 5mg/8 = 0.5-0.7mg per day roughly as im thinking this mite help a little and if the issue goes away i'll bump back to 1.25.

so really just wondering if this will affect my hair and wont be as effective as 1.25mg please?

Sounds like the start of my finasteride experience. I had some initial ball ache (at 1mg), and it FREAKED me out (I was terrified of sides)...so I cut it down to .5mg a day. Worked just fine (and basically symptom free) for 3 years.

Good job. While you are on finasteride it might be best for you to come away from the hair loss forums and try your best not to think about side effects.

By the way - if you quit, don't go crazy with drugs/ alcohol/ bad diet/ stress. I never had major issues ON the drug but when i i quit it ruined my life. Maybe if i lived like a monk during the 4 weeks after i quit i may have had a better chance of recovery.

thx well the ball ache is managable, its more annoying then a real pain.
I'm definately not thinking about quitting no way! atleast not yet.
I have no "serious" issues so far and it took me a month to get the courage up to take this drug in the first place.

Your probably right I should keep off here, but I had aquestion to ask.
Also I would say I dont really think about the sides, its only the fact that I'm having one is why im here.
I'm also guna keep people updated about my hair and any progress, as i think thats fair, since people on here are helpful chaps.

So far on finasteride I havent been thinking about my hair 24/7 so it is having a good placebo effect on my mind or putting it at rest for now. I would say my stress levels have definately gone down.

I had aching balls back when i was on finasteride Pete and apart from that everything worked fine. I don't think it's much to worry about, but it would be interesting to know considering so many guys report it.

Another good place to get fincar is unitedpharmacies.co.uk by the way - very cheap and rapid shipping.

Just for the record - i am near completely impotent due to my very short sting of finasteride 2 years ago. I am just curious to see how other guys in the UK get on.

Same here!

My scalp was extremely greasy and itchy but finasteride took care of that, too.

well i think I've been on this lower dose 5 days and its never even crossed my mind that the ball ache has gone. I dont remember having it at all in the last few days.

i am from the uk also,.
and my experience is very similar to yours but took me 6 months to buck up the courage to take the plunge...
ball ache been there , had the pains they went away after a couple of weeks

i still get slight dulling pain here and there,
