Mutual Respect

This site used to have unwritten rules of ethic. We all seemed to have mutual respect for one another and even if there were disagreements they were side squables. But it was all about just sharing info about hairloss and experiences with treatments and what not. This site is starting to go down the shithole.

Yes, have no fear, this too will pass. There once was a guy named DedPrez who turned these forums into an episode of Jerry Springer, but it only lasted a week or so. He got banned and things went back to normal.

I feel that with this kind of ignorance going on in the world, male pattern baldness should not be even close to the top of my priority list.
Before today, it was hard for me to imagine that people with such narrowminded opinions would even know how to use computers.
I've met my fair share of racists, but most of them were older people with minimal education, living in rural areas. I must confess that I haven't met that many people online who were racists, or maybe it's just that the topic never came up.
It appears that the internet is well on its way to becoming one of the greatest tools for education, but also a forum for backward thinking and hatred.
Sad.

All I know is that while reading all those responses I was tripping out! That one guy, SFRYAN, has some serious hatred. For the love of God, can we all just get along! 8) Healthy Nick, I think, was just trying to pick a side and add fuel to the fire. I really dont want to think that he would have that sort of mentality and if he does, oh well, what can you do?

I dont recall Healthy Nick saying anything really abhorrent except that he felt SFaryan was making valid points and that we weren't. I agree with Kramer3's previous assessment that Healthy will find it a lot harder to get help around here (certainly none from us!), but still there are plenty of users who were not witness to the uglyness of yesterdays thread and wont know better. I too was disgusted by Healthy Nicks attitude and wouldnt mind him getting the boot as well, but he manages to hide his racism most of the time, so its a toss up. I'll stand by HLTs decisions but will definitly view Health Nick with distain.

So to sum it up for the rest of you, it went something like this:

SFaryan: Blacks are sub-human
The Rest of Us: You're an idiot
Healthy Nick: SFaryan is talking a lot of sence!
The Rest of Us: You're an idiot too

Unlike others here, I am really not suprised that there are people who are that ignorant and yet still know how to use computers. But I also see the silver lining here. While I do find it suprising that SFaryan found a friend, it is clear that there is a very low tolerance for hatred within the majority. A large number of people stood up for what is right, and we even had one user register just to add his two cents (with a very good post stating that even if we were different, what makes it ok to hate?).

So props to all my brothers who spoke out in the name of unity and acceptance. Unlike SFaryan, we really do have something to be proud of; a higher sense of community and a greater understanding of the world we live in.

too bad this surfyan guy wasn't here while ded prez was. a lot of funny and dumb posts could have been made. i don't know about you guys but there's nothing funnier than reading two morons on different sides debating race, etc...you raise a white kid in the ghetto as a kid and he'll be raised to be like the people around them. it's not a race thing. it's the way they're raised, the people they're around,..etc. more blacks and hispanics happen to be raised in poor areas...ghettos, etc... if white people were put in the same place from birth they'd be the same
