I'm thinking of combining two proven topicals to see if i can get that elusiv extra regrowth oumph, recapeen (swedish stuff, 53% regrowth success rate) and 5% rogaine. Maybe this might be the knockout combo i need...combined with finasteride of course.

But I was wondering how am I suppose to apply these, I mean in what order and how long in between? How do you guys do with multiple topicals and why? response is so appreciated.

You should just add a stronger Minoxidil if you're going to add oomph. A bigger kick, but still a proven treatment. Maybe try Xandrox 12.5 or Xandrox15.

I use Xandrox15 in the morning on my hairline, then I use generic 5% minoxidil at night.

I also use spironolactone on the hairline at night, so I apply minoxidil, wait half an hour, then apply spironolactone over the top.

Generally, you shopuld be leaving half an hour to an hour in between applications of topicals.

Is that enough time for the rogaine to absorbed into the scalp?

If I apply another topical, ain't I rubbing the rogaine off or diluting it or something? Does anybody know a study of some kinf that shows when maximum/final absorption of minoxidil occurs after application?

Your help is so appreciated, not only by me, but by anyone considering a multiple topical approach :) .

Half an hour to an hour is generally sufficient enough time for a topical to be mostly absorbed and working its magic.

I use Xandrox15 because Dr Lee says you can wash it out after an hour and still have received the maximum impact. So I use it in the morning, have breakfast, check emails and then have my shower. This way, I don't have any topicals on my head during the day.

Also, Tricomin and Minoxidil used close together may actually have increased benefits in the performance of each, as opposed to use seperately. Tricomin cleans the scalp, relives itching and increases absorption.

If I were you, wanting the extra boost (which I did too), I'd switch one of my minoxidil applications to a stronger form (X15 or X12.5), and possibly add Tricomin or Folligen spray an hour before applying your 5% minoxidil application. Some would argue to apply Tricomin or Folligen AFTER the 5% minoxidil, but I think either way is fine.

Thanks for the tip :) . Do you think the Xandrox boost was enough?

I figure the use of different things that work by different mechanisms is the most sound strategy to attack male pattern baldness from multiple sides, affecting it at different stages.

So instead of using an extra dosage of minoxidil, i'll stay on the 5% twice a day (cause i figure that's the most reasonable effect i'll get out of that specific treatment) but add another proven topical (like recapeen). In fact it'll be cool if someone would do the same and we could compare results.

Any other suggestions on how to apply multiple different topicals? How long of a time apart must they be applied for full minoxidil absorption? Thanx!
