I have wondered whether the cold can help. It's most likely down to genetic factors but you never see bald eskimos!

shower with warm water and do your washing routine etc. Then at the end of your shower blast yourself for about 30-45 seconds with cold water.

This helps with circulation and is a practice that many professional athletes use.

I doubt it'll make any difference to your hair though.

My ex-gf's boss, a dermotologist, said the exact same thing that Neiltom88 did.

He said the cold water helps close pores, and improves circulation. Additionally, he said one should never use water that is any warmer than lukewarm to wash either your face or your hair.

That why I shave with cold water now. Less burns and cuts.

Collateral question.

A warm rinse before applying topicals would, in that sense, be beneficial?
(after toweling dry of course).

yes wash with only freezing water cause this will reverse your hair loss and make your hair stop falling out.

Does anyone have an opinion on saunas?

It will soon be time again when I am using a sauna for cleaning for short
periods (3-10 days).

We get them f*****g hot for a first good dry sweat and then it’s outside for a
snow bath. Once you take off the worst of the grunge with the snow, its back
inside for the wet heat.

We use the idea that the sauna should be too hot to encourage lingering and that
it should, in fact, drive you out at some point quite quickly. You can cool down and
heat up again over and over, but about three times is normal.

Anyway, I hear conflicting reports on this subject. N. Americans see to think
high heat is bad, but any Finn will tell you “the hotter the betterâ€￾ (I think?).

Opinion anyone?
