Ok so ive been using rogaine foam for over a month now and noticed that im regrowing in my temples! There is a lot of peach fuzz there which is a good sign...right? And if that hair thickens up then I will finally be happy with my hairline!
I quit finasteride after a month of use and now that I am seeing regrowth from the foam, Im even more determined to save my hair so im thinking about going back on finasteride. Although, this time, I will probably go to my Doctor for a proscar prescription. Ill make an appointment with him soon and see what he says. Im probably going to be just as paranoid about sides as I was last time on finasteride but screw it!, if something drastic happens, ill get it sorted somehow.

Thats it really lol, all I wanted to say

do you have any pictures? also what Norwood are u?

Sorry, no pics. Ive no digital camera or camera phone lol. Im way behind technology!
Im about a nw3.5ish and there is quite a lot of peach fuzz type hair growing mainly in the right temple. Its crazy!, if that fuzz thickens up, I might be a 2.5! There really is alot of it. I havnt been staring at my hairline in the mirror for a long time so it was a bit of a shock when I noticed this stuff growing there.

feels good huh? i started seeing regrowth after a month as well, feels good to respond. of course, for that hair to thicken it will take sevral cycles, so maybe 6-8 months before it's actually your hairline and not just what's comming in...but who the hell cares it's awesome!

Same for me. Been on finasteride for almost 3 months and 2 1/2 for rogaine foam. I started seeing small fuzz hairs in the right temple especially when putting on the foam due to the white bringing them out. Now they are sprouting all over... Im pumped

Boss I would try to take the 1mg however you can. If you have already taken finasteride and are talking about sides like you are that .25 difference can make or break it for you.

Even if you have to scratch of a little bit from every quarter. That's what I think. 1mg maybe... but 25% more every day then who knows right. I am sure most people even me can get away with it though. I think finasteride makes me a better human.

I am happy for you. Someday I might try the Foam myself. For now I am holding for Tricomin.

I'm getting some really good regrowth recently on my temples from minoxidil also. The only problem is I'm beginning to get a bloated face and it's only come about in the last month or so (I've been on it for the last 4 months) so much so now that I think I'm uglier with a bloated face + temple regrowth than I am with normal face + no temple regrowth.

I still hoping it will subside maybe, but if it doesn't, would other alternatives like Tricomin be as effective? (bear in mind I will have to lose all my minoxidil hair first)

Big decision here so could somebody help me out and tell me what's best? Would switching to the foam possibly help also?

i got a bloated face too, it's water retention. there are ways to relieve that such as drinking lots of water, reducing sodium intake and you can consider a natural diuretic such as dandilion root if you want. now i still have signs of bloating in the face but it's very minimal, before it was bad, looked like i gained 50lbs. i have heard the bloating subsides as your body adapts to the minoxidil, so im going to hope for the best in the future.

Yeah man, I dont care if it takes 8 months or a year, the fact that I am responding to the foam has made me happy enough!

Also, perhaps a stupid question, but I still have about 40 finpecia tablets left. Should I finish those before going for a proscar prescription? I know they are pretty much the same thing, but I was planning on cutting the proscar into 4ths not 5ths so the dosage would be 1.25.

HauntedBallroom, is there a reason you're selling your spironolactone? I noticed it's not on your list. Did you give it up? If so, why? I've been interested in buying some. What did you want to sell it for?

Oh, no im not quitting spironolactone. I never started it. I bought it as I was scared off of finasteride. But, I decided to go back on finasteride so, at the moment anyway, I dont need spironolactone.

hmmm well im still kinda weary for finasteride.. my doctor was saying not to mess with my hormones at such a young age (23). I kinda agree with him...others on here dont agree with that. but i mean if spironolactone cream could be a BIT of a pain...i dont see putting up with that such a big deal...

It depends really, I have a hard time sometimes trying to fit in using the foam in the morning. Fitting spironolactone in on top of that just dosnt sound practical for me
