Moderate-severe Pain In Donor Area 5 Days After Surgery

I had 5K grafts via FUE, finished on tuesday 21st Nov, and was fine for the first few days after surgery, but on the 4th day I started to get pretty bad pain on my donor area and it worsened slightly on day 5. The pain is bad enough that I can't do anything productive as the pain stops me from thinking straight, and obviously I can't lie on my head. The parietal areas is also in a lot of pain so side sleeping is just as difficult without painkillers. Ibuprofen fixes it so I take that at night, but by mid day the pain is back and topical anasthetic does very little. It *looks* significantly better though, scabs are falling off and redness is going. Is this something to do with the nerves being reawakened? Is it normal? How long until it subsides?
