Mixox/Folligen dilemma

I have been diagnosed with Telogen Effluvium but may have Androgenetic Alopecia. Who knows. Regardless, I have decided to start a regimen. I have Minoxidil 5% (my derm told me to use to 5% version) and Folligen sitting in front of me. Here is my dilemma. This hairloss problem began about 9 months ago, but the actual shedding has considerably diminished (basically resolved itself) in the last month. My main concern hMPB and has been using minoxidil. 5% for about a month and is shedding lots. He has warned me repeatedly about this. So, here are my options:
1. Start minoxidil + folligen spray
2. Use just the folligen and not the minoxidil
(I’m using the folligen no matter what)
3. Start with one and then introduce the other a few weeks later. If so, in what order?

The catch 22 is that my shedding has gotten better. If I use minoxidil it may cause another bout of shedding. But if I don’t, the hair may never grow back… Unless the folligen by itself can take care of that . What would you guys do in my situation? My bloodwork is all normal, by the way.

Thanks!

For some reason the body of my last message got messed up... Here is the real message! Hope it turns out ok.

My main concern now is making the hair grow back from the missing areas.
My husband has male pattern baldness and has been using minoxidil.

But if I don’t, the hair may never grow back… Unless the folligen by itself can help. What would you guys do in my situation? My bloodwork is all normal, by the way.

Thanks!

Personally i'd use them bothe together, although i'm not a great believer in Folligen due to it's lack of supposting evidence. And remember, shedding is a fundamantally normal part of the regrowth process.
