misappropriated research

i was thinking today, you know what sucks, everyone is out there doing research on really rare diseases that, yes, are life threatening, and i'm not discounting any of it, but rare. their cures hugely affect a huge minority. But while male pattern baldness is not life threatening it is lifestyle threatening, based soley on the percentages, half of men experience hair loss, and for many it yields a huge change in their mental health, in their attitude, stress level, and life enjoyment. So it seems to me that a ton of research should be going towards this. imagine the huge degree of stress relief and anxiety relief that would ensue if it were totally cured. lives would be changed instantly. millions would live their lives with a giant weight off their shoulders and just be better people. want a better world? this would help a lot i really believe. and this is even putting the potential for huge amounts of money making aside, we are talking trillions. it just doesn't make sense, i feel like i'm taking crazy pills here. some millionaire should be funding the f*** out of this research, it is a guaranteed enormous return. come on people, this seems so obvious. doctors are supposed to cure people, but more than that,; they are supposed to improve the quality of life. well a cure with male pattern baldness would improve my quality of life the same as if you cured me of diabetes. oh well, thanks for reading.

I bet there is alot of research going on. Certainly the top grants awarded are not given for male pattern baldness related research, but there must be some going on. Our best bet is to benefit from cosmetic research that is targeted at burn victims or people who have suffered worse than us. If money talks, and it has told me that it does, then the payoff for a male pattern baldness cure or even a GREAT improvement in the transplant procedure should rake in a ton of cash. I'll pay.
