minoxidil w/ retina burning scalp?

Alright guys, I have a question regarding the application and burning of minoxidil w/ retin a. I decided to give Promox a try and have been using it for two months and have shed a ton of hair. When I apply it my scalp burns for a few minutes and then it goes away. I'm guessing the retina is causing the burning, but my question is it supposed to burn after application for a few minutes? I'm just hoping the shed is just from starting minoxidil and hopefully it will grow back soon and its not a permanent hairloss from the retin a. What do you guys think? Should I continue the Promox?

Thanks

I've used retin-a on my face and it burned the sh*t out of it for the first week. Your skin should get used to it though.

I had the same issue, you have to build up to a lot of retin-a
or it will burn and turn red and crusty.
