so many guys complain about the high alchohol content in fluridil and have to quit because of the irratation but what about the high alchohol content in minoxidil? Is there a difference in the types/amount of alchohol? minoxidil has continued to thrive in spite of it's method of transportation....so what gives?

Good question Jimmy

All standard FDA Minoxidil be it 2% or 5% have 30% alcohol

MOST of Dr Lees products have 50% alcohol (due to the reduced amount of propylene glycol.) This also means faster drying time and a little better absorption.

Fluridil (I believe) has 90% alcohol

That is a significant difference in harshness to the scalp. Someone like me who has a sensitive scalp could never handle Fluridil, but I can easily tolerate Dr Lees products since I use a very thick and heavy moisturizing conditioner. I use it several times a week and I leave it on for a few minutes. TIGI: Moisture Maniac conditioner

okay thanks..!...but 30%...50%...what's in the rest of it? and why doesn't fluridil do this instead?

?

The rest is water, PPG and Minoxidil.

(Dr Lees has a tiny amount of VIT E)

As for Fluridil, probably because it is cheaper to do so?

I believe the 2% version of Rogaine has 60% alcohol.
