i am looking for alternative to minoxidil. I have found out that some brands of 5 percent cause my face to burn easily in sun and wrinkles around eyes and little fluid retention. I know it causes these effects. Dr less 5 percent somehow wasnt as bad as the new brand i bought? Could this be minoxidil or something else in the liquid?

Also, i am looking at tricomin as a replacement? ANy positive. I know alot of these regrowth products are turned down by alot users but didnt know the truth about it?

I have a full head of hair but i have a little receding hairline if i dont use minoxidil. I want something that might keep what i have there and maybe thicken it up. But not looking for alot of hair growth just maintain?

How long before the sides go away from minoxidil? few weeks?

You are probably experiencing problems with propylene glycol in the minoxidil. It's very common and many people react to it. Dr. Lee's #500 had less ppg than normal 5% minoxidil so that's probably the reason that you can handle it better. There are some minoxidils that contain no ppg so maybe try that and see how you react.

Alternatives? Sure. Good ones? Not really. How much were you using? Were you using more than 1ML twice per day?n

just a little bit at night. Just on the temple...i just want to maintain what i have. I dont really have a receding hairline and I am 31 years old but genetics etc i am prone to balding. I think if i quit i might lose what i gained. No propecia for years because i thought that was causing sides. I think i am sensitive to it? What are the best alternatives that might work. Like i said, just a little receding..not much if any at all. More maintain and want it to be thick on the temples etc. thanks
