A detailed question will get an accurate response.

Whan you say 'sensations' do you mean flushing or tingeling or irritation, or a heat sensation or throbbing or tightness or itchyness...etc

well, not itchy, not inflammed, maybe a little bit of tingling.. perhaps its tightness.. as if someone is lightly combing the hair back...

its not an unpleasant sensation... what could that be?

very mild irritation. or possibly inflammation of the hair root (not visable inflammation on the scalp surface)

If these 'sensations' become a problem or continue for more than a few weeks you should try Nizoral / TGel and TSal shampoos to bring it under control.

If these 'sensations' were not there prior to using minoxidil it is most likely the medication causing the issue.

This should have little bearing on the efficacy of minoxidil.

thanks. I'm already on nizoral, folligen and t-gel.. inflameation under control..

i've been on minoxidil for three years... never had an itch/inflammation... - been thinnin on the vertex.. however, this feb, i started itching/flaking/burning... what resulted what the total annihilation of my hairline... my derm told me that i had red dots all over my scalp, primarily my hairline.. i got it under control with synalar, nizoral, and break from minoxidil..

on an other note, a few days ago i used retin-a w/ minoxidil on hairline.. next day caused peeling, exposing fresh red skin... without say, that area went bald in one day... think i may have to lay off the minoxidil a bit to cure my problems.

Yes lay off the minoxidil for a few days untill you scalp is ok, it is the Retin-A that has caused the peel, it is after all used as a cosmetic chemical peel.
