Minoxidil question!

I have two different Pakistani brands of Minoxidil.

One is a thin solution(little denser than water) which does't itch my head or make my hair dry and it easily drops down my face when applying.

The other one is a thick dense(alot denser than water and oilish) solution which causes painful itch on the areas where applied and make my hair a hard rock mess.

The feel and experience of these two brands is so different that I feel like one of them is a fake minoxidil. What do you think which minoxidil should I use?

i mean, if one brand causes you irritation, thats never good, and i would stop using that immediately.

normal minoxidil 5% is like u said, a little denser than water, runs down ur scalp, like the the first one you described so i think thats normal.

the other brand that irritates you could have a another ingredient apart from the minoxidil such as glycerol, or something else, which makes it for viscous and is perhaps what is causing the irritation.
