minoxidil question

I think this question has been asked before, but is it alright to apply minoxidil to your scalp when your hair is wet, like after you get out of the shower and dry your hair a bit with a towel?
My hair is longer and I think I would have to wet my hair first and comb it back to be able to apply it to the scalp good.
I don't even have minoxidil yet, but I'd like to know if I decide to get it.

Also, is there a certain kind of minoxidil that is best (like a certain brand that won't drip down on your face) if you only really want to use it on your hairline?
Thanks for any responses.

yes you can apply the minoxidil after you get out the shower, just towel dry your hair as much as possible, then apply the minoxidil. Your scalp can be hydrated but not too much to dilute the minoxidil.

get your minoxidil from here, http://www.minoxidilshop.com/gen5min4mons.html

thats the cheapest you will find for the most part.

Most minoxidil will drip, depending on how much you apply. just try to distribute evenly and rub into the scalp if you wish. when you rub the minoxidil, however, more will get into the hair. The longer the hair, the more difficult it is to keep the minoxidil on your scalp and not your hair.

minoxidil comes with a dropper applicator that you should be able to get throught the hair to the scalp with. I think you're supposed to apply to a dry head to avoid systemic absorbtion. I have long hair too, and for me applying after the shower was never any good. It takes too long to dry which made 'styling' very difficult for me.

If you decide to start minoxidil, try using just at night at first. As I said minoxidil can take a long time to dry and make the hair look like poopah-doopah-doo. If you find you've no problem with it, start applying twice a day.

I'd say the best minoxidil to start with is generic. Just as good as brand-name but cheaper. Go to ebay, sellers there sell a 4 month supply of generic for under $35 incl. ship, and I saw one seller ships worldwide. If you find the long drying time to be too much hassle, you can get fast-drying minoxidil from Dr.Lee at http://www.minoxidil.com His dries faster because it contains a lower % of propylene glycol than the others (30%pg not 50%). For many, his minoxidil also causes less itching/flaking if that becomes a problem.

The thing with Lee's is, it costs $50 for 3 65ml bottles, plenty higher than generic. But for myself and many others, it's well worth it. Also, with Lee you have to email them a request for a simple consultation form (US residents only) and there is a $20 consult fee with your first order. Many a dude use Lee's in the am since it dry so fast and them generic before bed.
