I started the 5% liquid 6 weeks ago, and a few days ago I abruptly developed a rash over my ears, forehead, temples, around eyes, and scalp. I stopped the treatment. Rash is gone from the scalp, but is still there on the other areas. Feels like a sunburn, is flaking, and often very itchy. Also there is slight swelling around the eyes, ad eye lids are puffed up slightly, and ears are swollen slightly.
I didn't see these effects listed as possible side-effects in the Minoxidil literature.
I'm wondering if these side-effects will eventually stop.
I read some self-reports on the internet of a few people who had these same side-effects as I have, and who claim the side-effects have not gone away after weeks and months.
I'm curious of your experience and opinion.
My doctor advised to take Benadryl 50mg three times a day.
