minoxidil: On Crown or all over scalp?

I posted this topic a number of times with no responses. I'm diffuse (I suppose). My crown is pretty bad but I am also thin all around on top. The bottle says to just apply to the crown, but idk if I should try it on a greater range in the back and up in front. What do you guys do? I guess I'm still afraid of shedding all the hair in the front but what do you think?

All over your scalp is fine...bottle only states the crown as that's the only place they did medical tests on so they can only state that it helps regrow hair on the crown.

I use it all over my scalp (and I'm sure a lot of other users as well)
