minoxidil Non-responder - Should I Quit?

Hi all,

I have been a forum lurker for quite a few years to get info on the best treatment to stop my hairloss. Really great info!

I have diffuse thinning on the top of my head and started thinning when I was around 22 (26 now). My first treatments was using Revivogen along with spironolactone for a few years.

As good as Revivogen and spironolactone combo was when I started, I found that my hair was thinning still. So I decided to hop onto minoxidil bandwagon and started applying Dr. Lee's 500 minoxidil solution which I started in 2008 along with spironolactone cream.

However, throughout my time using minoxidil, I haven't really noticed any regrowth. No vellus hairs. It does make my look hair thicker, but I think its just the cosmetic affect the solution has on my hair.

I am thinking of quitting minoxidil since I haven't really had any gains from using it. Do you think this is the right thing to do?

I am thinking of going back onto Revivogen judging by discussion going on in these forums regarding the new formula. But not too sure...

I appreciate any info.

minoxidil have make my Hair worser as never bevor
3Years and No new Hairs but 3Years shedding shedding shedding

my biggest error in my Live was minoxidil

with Finasterid only my Hair was great

Thanks for the reply Timi.

I think I may go off minoxidil over the next few months slowly.

Maybe I should try another brand of minoxidil, like Foam and see if I get any results from that?

don't stop minoxidil!

You must take finasteride and minoxidil!

i am apparently Allergic from minoxidil
this is something completely different

I think I will try Rogaine foam. It might be just the fact that Dr. Lee's minoxidil is not working for me.

I hope Rogaine Foam dries as well as Dr. Lee's.

Foam is good
dry fast and no Oily Scalp

but Foam is the same for me
swelling red Face
red burning scalp
become no air in my Lungs

and is bad for my Hairs (Allergic)
