Howdy All

I've been a minoxidil user for almost 5 years now. At first I used a 7% solution (courtesy of Ashley & Martin) twice per day for about a year, then used 5% generic minoxidil once a day for about 3 years, then recently in a last ditch effort to fill in my thinning crown, moved to Rogaine foam in the mornings plus alternating Spectral DNC and MIN Agent at night times. Throughout this period, I've been on finasteride, but have never experienced any regrowth - only maintenance (which is a success in itself). I think it is clear from this that I am not a responder to minoxidil or at least not a strong responder. My hair still looks pretty much like this:

I've recently started using the 6 laser Amazing Laser Brush ($99.95) and really like the way it makes my scalp feel (though can't speak as to regrowth results yet) - I also use copper peptides after my nightly minoxidil application. However, I want to start using another topical that is reasonably well "proven" to give regrowth. From what I've read on here, Proxiphen and/or Nanogaine appear to be the best alternatives to minoxidil based products (are they in fact the same thing?). Although, because they are both also NO precursers, as minoxidil is supposed to be, does this mean I'd have little prospect of success with those either?

I plan to continue to use minoxidil at least once per day (for fear of losing any non-cosmetic benefit its had!) - but probably only Rogaine Foam for the morning applications. This leaves the night times open for the use of another topical - Proxiphen / Nanogaine / others?

All advice appreciated.

Proctor has claimed that people that DIDNT have results with rogaine/minoxidil have had results with NANO....you have nothing to lose by giving NANO a shot.

Thanks for the response. Are we talking just the Nano shampoo or the Proxiphen solution also?

Has anybody on here used the Nanogen range of products - Nanogaine etc?

Cheers

i think you should be applying the copper peptides *before* the rogaine foam, btw.

Yep - I put that question to the forums the other day and the overwhelming consensus was Cu peptides before minoxidil, so that's the plan from now on.

How are you getting on with the Apply Polys?

I need to find a regrowth agent that works for me dammit!
