minoxidil from a week - 0.5mm Dermaroller will help ?

Hi All,

I have started to take care of my hairloss with 5% minoxidil from past one week.

to improve results i want to use dermaroller - unfortunately i bought 0.5mm dermaroller and not the 1.5mm derma roller.

My questions as follows :
1. will 0.5mm roller with minoxidil will help regrow and thicken hairs ?
2. if so what should be my regime ? roll once a week ? twice a week ? or daily ?
3. running .5mm 540 needle roller over scalps with hairs will cause lot of hairloss ?

Please suggest i am hoping i will get right guidance.

Minoxidil will help with androgenic allopecia. There is no scientific reason to believe that a 0.5mm dermaroller will do anything.

If you want to try dermarolling, read this study very carefully, and follow its protocol. I personally use a 192 needle, 1.5 mm dermaroller. This study doesn't give a needle count, just length of needle.
