Minoxidil applied once?

im 17 and i only apply minoxidil at around 6-7 pm daily. I also use nizoral twice a week. So far, my hairline looks like it got furth back, but im at the stage where im losing less hair with this combination of products. What can i really expect with only one time of day application?

The reason i only apply it once a day is because it gets really messy if i apply it in the morning before school and its really hectic and uncomfortable. My doctor only perscribed me it once a day, but said i can do twice a day.

I also exercise daily and will that affect my minoxidil product once its on my head?
I also use about 1-2 ml at most daily ecause i try to make sure i cover all surface areas of my head.

if it is working well and your doctor prescribed it for once a day, why change?

i would not apply in the morning if u are going to be active and playing sports during the day it could be messy.

yeah it is very messy. Im a pretty active kid, but minoxidil isnt working, as in, it hasnt given me new hairgrowth. It at first made my hairloss worse and pushed out some hairs that were thining at my hairline. So it made it worse, and only now, its starting to slow down with negetive affects.

My derma said i could apply this twice a day. I dont know how long i can cope with this for the rest of my life,, if i wanna keep my hair.

Try using rogaine foam. It's decently priced on ebay.It's not messy like liquid minoxidil and does not leave your hair looking all greasy. Using minoxidil only once a day will not give much results. Use it twice a day. Once a day gave me no results, twice a day does give me results.
I'f you're going to try the minoxidil foam then here's how I apply it:

Fill a cup with hot water....fill the cap on the foambottle with foam....hold the cap in the glass with hot water...the foam will melt...then you can apply it with a dropper...just like liquid foam. This way you can make sure that the minoxidil reaches the scalp and therefor the follicles. Hope this helps.

i could give that a try. How long should it relativly take to apply minoxidil to coat your head? I would make time to apply minoxidil in the morning but that isnt very convient right now and it will leave my hair greasy looking and stiff as well. i could just try leaving some minoxidil on the hairline and along the ends of the sides though.
