Hey everyone, I have a quick question about applying minoxidil.. I heard that applying it to areas of your scalp that still have hair can cause you to lose those hairs.. My temples have receded to where I can apply it to my scalp there without getting into my hair but I'm also thinning quite a bit in the front but dont wanna risk applying minoxidil there if it will cause me to lose that hair.. cause If i lose those few hairs in the front them my baldness will be very noticible.. anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

The rumors are false.

You will NOT lose more hair than you would lose anyways from male pattern baldness. minoxidil DOES tend to cause a shed of hairs affected by male pattern baldness though. But be assured that you would have lost them over time anyways...and 9 times out of 10, they will regrow after being shed.
