Hi, I'm a 33 years old men.

I've started to see some very minor thinning on both side of the head a few years ago. Since then, I've been on proscar.
I started to use minoxidil a few months ago, in order to regrow the small thinning area. My question is: since it is said to apply 1 ml of minoxidil to the thinning area, should I apply 1 ml on both side of the head, or 1 ml for the whole head.

Thanks

You'll need more than 1 ml of Minoxidil if you're going to be applying the treatment to the entire scalp, unless if you keep your hair completely buzzed. I think 2 ml is suffice for the whole scalp if your hair is on the shorter side, I have done this before and I have found it to work, for me at least.

I always wondered what kind of dexterity it takes to cover the whole scalp with 1 ml as per leaflet. Especially if one does not have a buzz cut.

With the dropper or a syringe you paint the scalp with it while you control the flow.

If you tap the dropper against your scalp rather than squeezing you will get a lot less on your hair and more on your scalp and make 1ml cover quite a large area.
