you are over-analyzing it, ppg or not it's still minoxidil, just use it and see if it works for you.

I've actually heard that PPG in the minoxidil as a carrier vehicle is responsible for about half (don't quote me on that) of the results that you see from minoxidil formulations with PPG included. I'm not sure if that means that a plain PPG liquid with no minoxidil would work, but there you go.

That makes me wonder whether or not minoxidil formulations without PPG like some of Dr Lee's work. And how carriers matter is interesting as well.

Dr. Proctor used to say that on alt.baldspot for a long time, but I just don't believe it. Take another look at the results from Vera Price's outstanding 1999 study with topical minoxidil, which showed no such effect from the Rogaine vehicle alone:

True, Bryan. I forgot about this graph. Had the PPG had any effect we would certainly see it from the placebo. Nice bonk on the head for me. Haha.
