Does anyone think that wearing a hat after your morning application until it's time to wash it off will affect your results? My hair looks horrible after I apply the stuff.

thanks, doodz

A conditional "no."

The condition is if you put the hat on while your scalp is still wet with minoxidil. The cloth cap can "wick" the medicine from your scalp...preventing the intended dose from absorption.

The simple wearing of a baseball cap will not contribute to hairloss via heat buildup, air starvation, or any of the other old wives tales out there.

However, if you ALWAYS wear a baseball cap, people will suspect you're trying to hide your head...and IMO, guys who wear baseball caps all the time look orders of magnitude dorkier than those with thinning hair.

What I'm sying is that after I apply the minoxidil and it dries slightly (remember it is on my scalp far more than my hair) I put on a winter knit cap and go to work. I usually leave the hat on until i wash the minoxidil off four hours later.

As long as the cap isn't soaking up the minoxidil, you should be just fine.
