Minoxidil And Finasteride For Temple Points

I have recently started finasteride and have been using minoxidil once a day on my left temple point for 5 months as well as my temples and hairline. I have also recently started using minoxidil on my right temple point which has started to thin but has not completely lost its structure. I was wondering if this combination will help thicken these thinning hairs or can finasteride do it alone?

That's what I'm hoping on. My fade will never look crisp again if I lose my temple points.
