minoxidil all over?

So, I have been applying minoxidil on my temples, where it's thinning like crazy. But I was wondering if it is okay to apply it all over the top of the head?

The instructions say to apply to the crown only, so I don't know if it is supposed to be applied to small areas only...

Hair from your whole head will shed and then you will be near bald. I'd wait untik summer so when you shave your head you can say you did so because it's hot outside.

FCK.. Is it normal and/or expected for minoxidil to **** your hair where you apply it? I have been applying it to my temples where hair is thinning, but now it is really going bald there..
I thought it was supposed to stimulate growth, not to burn my hair out!!

I've filled in my hairline with minoxidil..nothing spectacular but it definitely grows hair on the temples..more so than it did my crown..ive also been on finasteride for 1.5 years..and I use minoxidil on my entire head too.

But did it gets worse before filling in? I'm on it for a couple weeks only, and so far, no improvements. It seems to be getting worse..

yeah, if it gets worse for a few weeks, that a good sign, it means its working, youre shedding. i lost hair for the first month, and ive been gaining since then
