When I first started noticing hair loss back in the day (10 yrs ago), I used liquid minoxidil.
I had thicker hair back then, but I swear, the minoxidil seemed to "clearcut" the hair and give me a bald spot in the worst areas.
It also gave me "fat face" so I got off it and did nothing for 8 yrs.
Eight years later, I started losing alot more up top and decided to get on proscar, which has helped me keep what hair I've got. I can do a good job of hiding my bald spots with certain techniques.
But now that I've finally woken up to the severity of the problem, I'm taking proscar more religiously and I've invested in Rogaine foam (i dont mind the smell).
My concern is that im taking a big risk adding Rogaine to the proscar since the latter has been working fairly well. Last thing I need is a major shed. Part of me is thinking "minoxidil certainly cant hurt my hair, i must be imagining things".
So question is, i've heard of minoxidil shed, but does the shed precede major regrowth? or is the shed a final thing?
