Howdy,

So I went to the Dr about a week ago to have him look at my hair. He said there is minimal hair thinning if anything, I disagree. But he said that I should look at Mindoxil before finasteride because he worries about the side effects of finasteride. I have been on just Nizoral shampoo for the last month. I am considering just waiting until August/September to see if it gets worse or if its just normal.

So my question is do yall think I should start finasteride or Mindoxil?

Minoxidil doesn't seem to stop or interfere with the fundamental balding process in your scalp, so it won't provide much in the way of really long-term support for your hair. So out of those two options that you mentioned (minoxidil and finasteride), I'd certainly go with the finasteride.

If you dont want to take finasteride you can take minoxidil and spironolactone 5% + nizoral.
