Hey guys, I might start Finpecia at 0.5 MG and ditch the Saw Palmetto (it slows it down, but I suppose Finastrade will do more)

To be honest, I can't wait till im 19.. or 21, everytime I look in the mirror and the sun is shinning I can see my god darn bloody scalp and it just gets deppressing everytime I look.. As I said before I dont have a fully developed goatee line on my beard, BUT I plan on taking 0.5MG finasteride.. (I know this is not a proven dosage etc, but im willing to give it a shot)

I just need some help on the type of side effects that MIGHT occure as I go along (I have done some research, but im just asking you guys cause I might not know everything)

Anyways, what is a GYNO? Is it reversable? And my main question is, if I get side effects from the finasteride, when I quit will they go away?

Advice is well apreciate, and I know some guys will recommend MERCK BUT im tight on money and I wont blame Propecia if it doesnt work so dont worry!

Thanks for the advice guys...

I will have to leave those questions to the experts, Gyno, I think, is fatty deposits around your nipples (b**ch tits, to use the full medical terminology) linked with increased levels of circulating estrogen.

I ain't no expert on this so maybe others can fill in some details.

good luck

Isn't gyno a rare side affect for propecia? It isn't even listed as one of the official sides is it?

gyno is staying at home on saturday night 's playing with your tits and trying to decide which is your best cup size......relax man i've had no problem and i believe it is reversible,in my opinion i would ditch the saw and hold off a while on the propecia a while because of your age

TY, where do you buy your bra's from? :p

Dave.. I would hold off the propecia, but I mean in the clinical studys they had 18 year olds.. So it must be safe? They had a very very wide range of people in there.. So to test it on 18 year olds they must have been pretty sure?

I just hate losing hair hair hair hair hair.. I stay positive throughout the day, but when I flick through my hair, guess whats on my hand? A HAIR! It sucks as hell..

I might as well try a proven treatment out there, dontcha think?

Stinger it states in the literature that it is ok to start when you are 18 and the studies were done on people as young as 18. I like Propecia so far. I would recommend the perscribed dose of 1mg though dont be scared and dont try and mess around with the dosages, this board is bad in that respect it teaches new guys that it is ok to alter the clinicaly percribed dosage of 1mg.

Ask HairLossTalk.com I am sure he will agree with me, especially since you are just starting out with no problems.

Gyno is from having to much estrogen, I doubt you will get it as it is not a proven side of Propecia. Don't be influenced by the negativity on the board and start with the correct medicaly proven dosage for this drug.

If gyno is your main concern, then I wouldn't worry about it at all. Only a slight amount of people on propecia experience gyno. If you are losing your hair enough to find excess hair in your hands when you rub your scalp then i would absolutely get on propecia. the earliest you start the better off you will be. I would bet almost everyone on this board would have wished they had started at an earlier stage. the earlier, the better my friend. i didn't used to think this way, but now after becoming educated on hair loss, I absolutely think it the way to go... as early as possible! What is the worst that could happen.

Im gonna split the tablet in 1/4 and take one everyday..
This is the best science has to offer today so I guess why not? I have my hair, but its just thin.. I dont want to start any later because I know if nothing works I will regret it.
