Microneedling.. Made My Hair Worse?

Well I'm about a month and a half in to needling every 10 days or so at 1.5 - 1.75, and my hair has never looked more horrible. It's lifeless and dead and for the first time obviously thinning in front. Are you guys sure this works?

youre supposed to use minoxidil when doing microneedling

You're probably inadvertently cutting/buzzing/pulling your own hair with the tiny little needles

Alright I wanted to at least test needling alone to start with but so far I'm not too convinced. Then again, it's still pretty early to be judging results.
