Microdosing Finasteride With Empty Gel Capsules

Hey! I'm (just turning) 20 years old and after lots of deliberation, have decided to start using finasteride. However for my own ease and peace of mind, I've decided I want to start by tapering up on finasteride, and track my progress to find the minimum DHT block necessary to maintain my hair (my recession isn't objectively that bad, but I've recently started receding and thinning again, so I want to maintain it here).

I've noticed that there are more than a few people on the forum who've decided to dissolve finasteride in alcohol but I'd like to know if there's any disadvantage to grinding finasteride into fine powder and using empty gelatin capsules to store them and take them?

My reasoning is that I can make a bunch at once (maybe once every 3 months grind finasteride to measure and put in capsules) and they would theoretically be able to be stored until the expiration date of the finasteride (rather than being suspended in alc, where there's uncertainty how long it lasts). I could more easily take the finasteride with me when traveling and, being 20, not having to worry about getting alc and storing for dosing.

BTW here's my planned regiment at this point:

Start with 0.0625 (1/16)mg finasteride for a month

Taper up to 0.125 mg (1/8) finasteride and hold there for several months/check progress


According to finasteride effectiveness chart, that would theoretically block ~25% dht at the start, and block ~50% of DHT at goal.

I understand the effective curve of finasteride at this level is extreme, would it be unreasonable to expect

Just start with .25 1/4 and you should be good to go for 6-13 months up dosage to .5 if needed later on.
