Messed up from propecia, need to rebound somehow

Hi all,

I was recently on 1.25 mg of propecia per day for a total of two weeks, but quit due to the fact that it decimated my erectile function.

My question is this:

The propecia made me start balding excessively due to the "shedding period"... because I cut cold turkey, does that mean that the shed hair is lost and won't rebound like it normally would if I stayed on propecia.

If there're any propecia fans and/or critics out there, please chime in.

Thanks,
MK

Ask yourself this, are you sexually active? If not, why does the erection matter? Besides, side effects disappear after being on Propecia for a while. I would keep taking it and continue fighting the battle. And I never heard of people shedding on Propecia after just 2 weeks. Maybe you're just responding to the pills more efficiently than others. I'd keep taking them and see how things go after 2 months. The only thing I notice after being on Propecia for 2 weeks is an increased acne, but that was temporarily and went away. I'd suggest you try being on them longer, and see if the side effects go away.

Good luck.

Propecia is not as cut and dry as FDA reports let on. There have been widespread reports of long-term and sometimes irreversible erectile dysfunction and the likes. Personally, five days off and I'm still suffering from it. I'm just trying not to panic and see what happens.

If you have serious sides, then just do what you can to remain calm and not stress out. Usually takes about 3-4 WEEKS to subside. 5 days is way too early.

You might also try reducing the does to .5mg so your body can get used to it. I was on .5mg for 3 years before bumping it to 1.25.

...um...how old are you? 70? So you don't care about your erections when your not sexually active for a few weeks?
