Meeting with the doctor in two weeks...

Hello all,

My name is Zack and I'm a 23-year-old grad student. I have been experiencing hair loss at the temples for some time now. In addition, I feel that my hair may be thinning throughout the scalp, though I'm not quite sure since my hair's always been pretty fine. I've decided to meet with a dermatologist in two weeks regarding this problem and I'd like to get some advice on what to ask my doctor. I've heard that there is a generic Propecia available, but I don't know where to get it. Do I have to order it from Canada or can I go to my local pharmacy? If I have to order online, is there a recommended company? Finally, I've heard about the Big 3 and I was curious if the Nizoral 1% is adequate. If not, should I ask the dermatologist about 2%? Again, I'm fairly new to this, so any advice is greatly appreciated!

Zack

I spoke to my physician today about DHT, he asked me what DHT was. Classic.

 I'm not surprised. I found that derms seem to be the least knowledged with (female) hair stuff than any other Doctor--- and it's supposedly a skin/nails/hair profession!
