medical checkup before starting finasteride?

Well, I suppose I'm still wondering if there could be any other reason for my hairloss. Perhaps some nutritional deficiency or thyroid issues.

How many of you bothered to get a doctor's opinion before starting finasteride/propecia?

um nobody

nobody cause there is only like 6 dermatologist in my state so i just went to a doctor and said hey buddy this is what i need and i want it now he said ok but i am still supposed to see the dermatologist in like 2 mnts he said if nothing starts to work

and those 6 derms would probably know little about male pattern baldness anyway.
