Hi all,
I am new to this community and I have never thought of having this issue. I had a major surgery on my stomach 5 months ago, and stayed in hospital without eating anything for 2 months. Influids was my only life support and my weight was down 12kg.
When I was discharged from hospital 3 months ago, I had no problem with my hair.
It was as strong and intense as usual.
However, about 1.5 months ago I started losing my hair; and about a month ago I had my latest haircut. It turned out that my new hair became thin, oily, not strong at all. In the meantime, because of the nature of my job, i am suffering from anxiety and is taking Paxil under the professionals instruction. Being panic about losing my hair, I started taking propecia 3 weeks ago but there's no sign of getting better. I'm still losing a loads of hair.
I wonder, if my hair is more like male pattern baldness or telogen effluvium. My shrink says it's probably the telegen effluvium, while the
Dermatologist says it's male pattern baldness and there is NO cure for this. P.S, none of my relatives have similar trouble- my maternal grandpa ages 80 and still have full intense hair.
Thanks!
