male pattern baldness never stops it just slows down, IMO

I have a hard time believing that anybody experiences male pattern baldness, recession or thinning or whatever, and then it stops and stays that way forever. Many people on this site seem to think that is fairly common, but in my experience there are periods of acceleration and deceleration, but it never stops entirely forever.

that's may be a gross overgeneralization, but it could be true. the fact is, over time a man's hair thins naturally anyway (for most!), whether it be drastically or not. i wonder what the numbers are on that: what percentage of male pattern baldness sufferers reach norwood 7?.

Hair just seems to thin in general for everyone. Ever notice how grandma's always have the short curly hair? Its to make their thinning hair look more full. Don't know why that is, but hopefully it wont be a problem in the near future.

But why the hell do they then make it blue or purple! Maybe guys we need to start dying our hair blue... it could be a secret only Grandmas know!

The male pattern baldness process probably never completely stops, but if you can slow it right down and encourage regrowth to offset it, you can maintain what you have or even gain some ground.

Well, I suppose, but there are a lot of posts about how some peoples' hairlines 'mature' to a point and then stop and stay that way for a long time, thinning only naturally with age. Since I've been having hair issues (6 months) and taking notice of these things I've yet to see that. Now I don't know everybody whose hair I am looking at obviously, but of the people I do know or see repititively who have male pattern baldness, it is progressing not holding steady. I am talking about friends, actors, reporters, etc. Of all of them none seem to be holding steady. So why all the talk about how some hairlines just mature and stop? My own opinion is that this is a misnomer from people who really don't know what they are talking about. So, no I really don't think this was common knowledge.
