Male Bald Pattern Problem

Hi. I am new to this forum. And I am badly in need of help. I am suffering from male bald pattern. May hairline on the temple area is already receding. I am using Minoxidil but to no avail.

I am now confused with what solution to use. I consulted for Hair transplant already. But I am scared of this. I know the donor area will have scars after and skinned-head haircut will not be possible anymore later on.

I am also considering mesotherapy. Still reading informations.

I firmly believe that topical solutions are not working for me.

Any suggestions from you guys?

Thanks

Male Pattern Baldness is a ***** for more than one reason. Not only does it bother you because of the new appearance, but oftentimes what it leads you into doing and choosing makes you feel regret later on (in the case of propecia users who'v become impotent) a ***** trait it is.

I'd personally not recommend finasteride, for all you and I know you may be in the minority experiencing significant side effects that may sneak up on you out of nowhere and become hard to reverse. I'd suggest topicals. I've used minoxidil for a year. It's FDA approved so it that doesn't work for you as far as topicals, then pretty much nothing will in the topical department. Make sure you apply this after a shower where you wash the sebum and oil out your hair first, then apply the minoxidil to your scalp. The only other option dude, other than topicals are oral drugs, as far as applying or taking substances.

A non-topical would be a systematic DHT blocker (or growth stimulator..which is probably something you'd not want to take, high blood pressure, etc.) which can wreck havoc on your hormones, genitals and whatnot, so I'd stick to the minoxidil which I will be doing soon. You should give it some time, say a few months before judging it. It isn't a magic potion that works within days or weeks.

Hi. Thanks for the quick response. I am using Minoxidil for about 2 years already as far as I remember. I am now 31 years old. Problem is, as time goes by, my hairline in the temple area recedes greater. This is the reason I am now seriously seeking for a better solution. I am afraid it might worsen in the next few months or a year.

hope to hear from you guys. thanks.

I see what you mean with the minoxidil thing. By the way, it, nor finasteride was ever meant to treat the hairline. Just about nothing can fix the hairline besides a transplant, which is scalp surgery. I'll be honest and say I'd literally rather be bald than have an hair transplant. This is personal however, as for some reason to me a head that's become naturally bald is more appealing than having my donor hairs spread out on a scarred scalp.

By the way I wouldn't recommend taking any advice from me really. I'm kind of a noob when it comes to hairloss and plus recently I've been depressed as f***, for what I believe Propecia may've done and what I've read about it, that Merck apparently doesn't point out.

Does this means, there's really no solution at all? or even just to prevent the hair from getting thinner?

No solution on the bald area except hair transplant? I was thinking injecting vitamins like in mesotherapy might stimulate hair regrowth on this area.

Removed this part because I type too much...and honestly think it's probably for that guy's own good...

I will say though to do as much research about your options, and take words with a grain of salt. Hope you luck man.

I don't like finasteride either.

I would say check out Densiti, fluridil, nizoral.. stuff like that :)

Out of the minoxidil-based substances for regrowth I would favour xandrox and nanominox.

finasteride is good if you are feeling a bit brave, but it gave me fairly unpleasant sides (some of which have lingered) - I couldn't recommend it.

spironolactone may also be a good one to look into, and maybe RU58841 if you are feeling rich! lol :)
