Making 2% Ketoconazole shampoo?

Hello,
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this or not. I don't see why not though. As some may know, it is fairly easy to get ketoconazole in pure form as tablets for an aquarium. Has anyone had any experience with making their own 2% Nizoral shampoo with these pills? Is absorption a concern? Would it be better maybe to just dissolve some of these pills into some Nizoral 1% shampoo? Thanks

I read about people doing that, not sure how well it works compared to the shampoo

Well.. ideally it would also be in shampoo form. I only have Nizoral 1% and was thinking that maybe I could just plop a few pills into the 1% shampoo to make it 2%. I'm trying to avoid going to the doctors because I know it will be hell trying to convince him that it is effective for male pattern baldness.

On a side note, it is ridiculous that dandruff shampoo is prescription only. It's just another way to get us to pay for another doctor's visit for no reason.

A little tip for you man:

go to inhousepharmacy.biz and look under hair loss..they have 2% nizoral shampoo from Europe and its only $20. I've ordered it 2 times now (since we were having a shortage of 1% in the US) and had no problem..and yeah its the legit stuff made by Johnson & Johnson.
