This question was also asked in the Propecia forum but I wasn't sure if everyone even looked at it but my question is and its been brought up before is what do you guys think is the average time frame one can stay above baseline on the big 3?? Some mentioned that with just finasteride alone its possible to stay above 12 years, but I was curious to what everyone thought about this along with the addition of minoxidil to table.

Also, I understand that on finasteride the male pattern baldness eventually becomes stronger hence starting a slow fallout, but is this the same with minoxidil or does the hair you grow with minoxidil always stay as long as you keep it up or does it start to fade away and shed also with time??????

Thanks

With finasteride, the studies that have been done show that you bit baseline (on average) after between 6-8 years I think. This will be different for everyone though. If your a young guy with only minor hair loss, you might be lucky and get 10 years, who knows.

In terms of the big 3, I don't think any comprehensive studies have been on. I have read that your get a very good chance of pushing that finasteride time out alot further.

Peace...

The way you guys are referring to "baseline" confuses me...how do you define what is "baseline?"

I've heard the term a ton on here, of course, but your usage of it makes it sound like you mean the final stage of balding, where you plateau at.

baseline usually refers to your hair condition BEFORE you start a treatment.
