Maintaining finasteride hair without finasteride?

Has anyone out there maintained damn near all of their results from finasteride treatment of a year plus with topicals after quitting finasteride? This is assuming that you actually had results be it an improvement in the quality or count of hair.

I have just started proscar and am thinking about the future. If it gives me moobs I'll drop it like a bad habbit.

I know HairLossTalk.com has had some success but the details are very vague as to how much finasteride hair he actually kept and he doesn't seem interested in responding to me ... so anyone else?
