Lowering finasteride dosage - experiences?

So i'm in my 3rd month of Propecia (1mg every day), and the only side effect i've had are weak erections. I can still (somewhat) easily get one, maintain it, but it's definitely not the same as before, and while i'm not even sexually active, this isn't something i'd like to have lingering about me in the future (assuming i'll be continuing with propecia, which i expect to if it works). So i figured i'd lower my dose to 0.5mg, however i'm wondering if there are any guys here who have lowered their dose, and if so, what was your experience with it?

For me:

finasteride 0,5mg = Good Results (Sebo reduced), Little side-effects
finasteride 0,25mg = Good, No side-effects

I doubt micro-dosage does much but I am just using .5mg of Propecia right now and I am having no sides *knock on wood*.

Im taking .5mg of finasteride never even started with the 1mg as its a wast for most individuals. Unless your body is hard hit with DHT the 1mg is overkill.

The clinical trias alone show that .2mg is 80% as affective as the 1mg. So the bottom falls out somewhere between .2-1mg as a flat dose affect.

For most men .5mg should be enough. There are of course exceptions to the rule such as men who need to combat a higher lvl of DHT in the system so 1mg or even dutasteride is needed but those are exceptions to the rule not the majority.

My advice stick with .5mg for a few months min of 6 if you dont see an improvement or retaining the hair you have then move to 1mg.

You really wont know the answer with out trial and error or have lab test done on your DHT levels before and after starting any finasteride regime.

Its to late for the lab test as you've already started so you will have to stop for you body to balance out.

I'm going to go with 0.5mg for now. Assessing my hair loss, i'd say it's receded at a slow pace these past 4~ years (4 years ago being when it really started going) so 0.5mg should be enough, hopefully.

I was on and off 0.25 mg finasteride several times for a year. In my experience, this dose is just as potent as 1 mg, but it takes longer to hit the bottom.
