Lost Weight. --Long post.

Hey guys, I had a few minutes before I hit the hay. Man, I can't believe an entire year has come and gone here in NY. I caught myself looking at old photographs, and I'm just at a loss of words, so here are a few pictures:

When I first moved to NYC a year ago. A little tubby then.

Christmas '06. I was about 210 here.

Me now:

Well, I don't have any shots of my body, but maybe I'll find some that show just how trim I've become. I used to be this thin in LV before I started anti-depressants.

I didn't use the CCS method to lose weight and gain muscle... Instead, I cut out a lot of unneeded sh*t. I stopped soda and lots of beef, which was replaced with chicken and tuna. Also, a few meatless days during the week helps, too... Not to mention that I only drink water, coffee (black), and tea, which has helped my skin and mental function incredibly.

I run about 10+ miles a day, sometimes more than 14-- do pushups and abwork (thanks for the help, LookingGood), and do some minor lifting at the gym. Crosstraining is great, too, so I'll bicycle or use the elliptical machine at the gym instead of running on some days.

The results: Dropped from 210 (just about) to 165. That's 45 pounds. I also have an 8-pack, which makes me feel good about myself. I made the hard choice of giving up drugs and alcohol (I'll have an occasional beer), which was difficult for me because I was abusing some of the worst sh*t on the planet. Wasted time... But I do want to owe a special thanks to Hairwegoagain, because time and time again I've acted like an idiot, and he's always encouraged me with sound advice. Like I've said, this forum was my only communication to the world for a while, and I just got lucky that there are some truly good souls out there.

It was an incredibly depressing time, purged with alcohol and other variations of mind-detracting substances. I'm glad it's over.

I took my first Avodart pill about an hour ago, and it must be the placebo effect-- but I feel lightheaded. Of course, it could really be from running. But anyway, I do feel stupid getting back on Avodart. In some ways, I think that I was doing okay on Propecia-- the second round of finasteride didn't give me bad sexual sides, and switching to Avodart is purely for hair greed. I don't want to f*** up my now healthy body.

I'd write more, and probably organize this mess for everyone's sake, but I'm getting a bit tired. Goodnight.

good job losing 45 pounds and getting an 8 pack. I'm still the same size and strength I was a year ago, though maybe my abs show a bit more. You lost a pound a week. about.

Good job Aplunk.

I'm going back to running soon because of a sprained ankle and I'm still in the 210's. It's my eating habits that are killing me. I need to stop with pop and get back to water. Biking is not really not helping me lose weight.

I did get back to my dumbbells also for the past 2 weeks. In fact, I'll run now.

what are you guys talking about? He just shows his face now, not his body, and he blurs out his checks so you can't even measure face fat levels. We only have his numbers to go by.

You honestly can't tell the difference? Especially, in the shoulders and in the neck? The difference is obvious. If he has lost weight, then it has been at least as much as he claims. His bone structure is a lot more evident if you look closely.

*I should add that I started exercising in March, and reached 165 in July. So, that's 5 months.

I checked my PM. He can get any woman he wants. He should send a few pics to a modling mag. Dense NW1. Just his right hairline corner (our left) is 1/8 inch too high. I doubt any women will notice though. Maybe his nose is slightly too round, but again, his face is still at least a 9.

Wow, thanks, CCS. That's a huge compliment for me :D My hair is sopping wet in those pics-- I hope it doesn't look that thin in RL.

like I said in the PM, people don't know what their face can look like until they get in very good shape. Until then, it will look far worse than it's potential. So all the out of shape people who moan about their bad looking faces had better stop blaming it on genetics and go to the gym. Then they guys who are in good shape need to actually ask some women out before they assume their looks are bad. My girlfriend told me that most women do not ask men out. If you want to date them, you have to ask them out, and they will not budge on that. And they want you to initiate stuff, or they will feel insulted that you don't want them, and then look down on you for not being confident. All because they are too lazy or scared or proud.

I found a pic of a guy who looks a lot like applunk1 before losing weight. I told my girlfriend about him (he is her friend) and showed her applunk1's before and after pics to show her that her male friend had potential.

Shot at 2007-08-05

she did not want to advise the guy to workout, and said he is a beautiful person just as he is, and she thinks he should stay the same.

She asked me what her physical appearance rating is. (note, I never brought up a number system before. she brought it up). I said 8.5. She did not like that at all, and asked me what she had to do to be a 10. I told her no one on the planet is a 10, and that she exceeds my physical appearance requirements. No good. She was upset I'm not going for a 10, and then upset that I have standards at all, and said she does not care if a guy is fat and said I should be the same. Said good night, as always when we argue. She always appologizes the next day though.

Too far off topic. Anyway, I think that guy must have potential if aplunk1 improved so much, and I think he could have good motivation if he saw those before and after pics, but my girlfriend does not want to pass them on.

you are my hero ccs. that conversation was awesome. would have been better if you hadn't said that she 'exceeds your physical requirements'

i want a CCS rating as well? if i PM you a photo?

she appologized just now. she was out of it last night. I want to explain to her that I'd rather have an 8.5 who loves trail side picnic sex than have a 10 who only likes indoors sex. I'll find a way to bring that up later.
